Available Monday morning/evening, Wednesday morning and Thursday morning! A 60min collaborative Somatic movement session, in which we identify areas of discomfort and integrate them again into comfortable, generous, easeful full body movement. Somatic Movement Education is a bio-psycho-social / holistic approach to movement and habits of stress tension. Our goal is increased awareness of how we embody stress and repetitive strain, so we can learn and integrate movement strategies to keep tightness, stuckness and the sense of limitation at bay. Somatic Movement also gives you very pragmatic skills of releasing muscular tension to improve sports performance (a neurological warm up), or any physical activities you enjoy. Above all, it is a practice of choice-making, kindness and getting out of our physical habits that keep us in the same spot of recurring injuries, headaches, physical manifestations of worry and exhaustion. Online via zoom or google meet - please use a recognizable name when joining the meeting, so I know it's you! Recording will be sent afterwards with a follow up email.

Available Saturdays A 70min collaborative Somatic movement session, in which we identify areas of discomfort and integrate them again into comfortable, generous, easeful full body movement. Somatic Movement Education is a bio-psycho-social / holistic approach to movement and habits of stress tension. Our goal is increased awareness of how we embody stress and repetitive strain, so we can learn and integrate movement strategies to keep tightness, stuckness and the sense of limitation at bay. Somatic Movement also gives you very pragmatic skills of releasing muscular tension to improve sports performance (a neurological warm up), or any physical activities you enjoy. Above all, it is a practice of choice-making, kindness and getting out of our physical habits that keep us in the same spot of recurring injuries, headaches, physical manifestations of worry and exhaustion. An in person session allows for hands-on feedback and movement guidance, if that is comfortable to you (please note, we never manipulate or 'crack' anything!). Sessions are done fully dressed and utilising a table, like a raised mat. A brief discussion of movement and injury history, motivation and movement assessment will be followed by a guided practice on the table. Tailored practice recording included in follow-up email. A minimum of 3 sessions is advised, especially if you are new to somatic practices. Please note my office is on the first floor in a building without a lift. If you have limited mobility, please book an online consultation to keep you close to any necessary equipment you might need to stay comfortable!

My strong and mobile online private sessions can include Somatic Movement Education as well as Somatic Strength - for example if you practice Pilates, yoga or you're an avid gym-goer and you would like to learn a tailored supporting Somatic warm up, this would be the right sessions to book. They can be focused on improving your sports performance and how specific Somatic Movements can make a difference in your activities.
